Document Description
Remove four layers (24 inches) of wood shingles and roofing felt on primary stable roof above the apartment. Along length of apartment roof, lay down aluminum sheet metal that will extend approx. six inches beyond interface of barn roof and apartment roof. Place roofing felt over aluminum sheeting to ensure that primary stable roof drains completely onto the apartment roof bypassing the interface zone between the two roofs. Re-shingle stable roof with new shingles of like-kind to edge of stable. Glue sheet metal and roofing felt together that extend beyond the roof interface. Roofing felt beyond the shingles will match roofing felt covering the apartment portion of structure. roofing felt overlap will not be readily visible due to its location on backside of stables roof.
