The project is to retrofit seven existing surface parking lots owned by the City of Visalia to replace a total of approximately100,000 square feet of impermeable surfacing in favor of a combination of permeable paving and bio retention drainage swales and drought tolerant landscaping. The purpose of the project is to capture, treat, and allow goundwater recharge of both rainfall and drainage overflow from nearby Mill Creek during periods of inundation and overflow.
