Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit. The San Jose Water Company proposes to retrofit the existing water treatment plant (WTP) facility to include improved pre-treatment and membrane filtration. This includes the construction of two thickeners and two screw presses and supporting equipment in the area of the sludge drying beds, the construction of pumps to transfer solids from the thickeners to mechanical dewatering equipment, the improvement of plant access by providing a new plant exit onto Alma Bridge Road from the WTP site, and the renovation of the existing operations building located at the Main WTP Site, as well as other equipment replacement and upgrades. The purpose of this project is to allow the Montevina WTP to meet or exceed current and known future promulgated drinking water standards on a year-round basis.
