Document Description
The proposed project is the City of El Cerrito General Plan Housing Element Update for the planning period 2015-2023. The project site to be affected by the Housing Element Update is the area within the city limits. State law requires this Housing Element Update (CA Government Code Section 65580 - 65589.8). The Draft Housing Element identifies residential sites adequate to accommodate a variety of housing types for all income levels and needs of special population groups defined under State law (CA Government Code Section 65583); analyzes governmental constraints to housing maintenance, improvement, and development; addresses conservation and improvement of the condition of the existing affordable housing stock; and outlines policies to promote housing opportunities for all persons.
