The proposed project will remove, crush and transport iron ore tailings and reclaim all areas disturbed by the removal activities. The Iron Age mine project total s97 acres of which 76 acres are currently disturbed. Approximately 63 acres is within public lands regulated by BLM and 34 acres in patented land. The project's reclamation plan will reclaim approximately 70 acres of land covered with historic iron ore tailings back to the original and backfill approximately 8 acres of the old quarry. The mineral recovery is estimated to operate for 15 years and terminate in December 2029.
