Document Description
DWR Staff shall oversee the installation of seven exploration borings by a drilling subcontractor along the exposed bank of Castaic Lake; south os the West Boat Launch and north of the intake structure. Work is being conducted for design purposes related to the new intake tower and associated tunnel at Castaic Dam. The work area is approximately 3, 123 feet long (0.72 acres) and below the ordinary high water mark. The total area of temporarily disturbed soils is estimated to be less than 0.22 acres. Work will also include the grading temporary access points and drilling pads for equipment to install the borings.
