Document Description
Issue a variance to the California Army National Guard (CAARNG) which would allow CAARNG to dispose, in a solid waste landfill, hazardous waste that DTSC has classified as Special Waste, to wit, debris from the demolition of WW II-era buildings at Camp Roberts, as specified below. The issuance of a disposal varance in conjunction with a Special Waste classification is required by California Code of Regulations, title 22, division 4.5, chapter 20, section 66270.1(b) and Health and Safety Code sections 25201, 25245, and 25246, which sections require facilities receiving hazardous waste to have a hazardous waste facility permit, provide financial assurance, and submit closure and post closure and post closure plans to DTSC.
