Document Description
The existing cement pad in the tanker loading area at the Columbia Air Attack Base is deteriorating. Flying pieces of cement and rock from the deteriorating pad pose a hazard to ground crews and to the aircraft. The existing cement pad will be removed using a tracked excavator, loader and dump truck. A new cement pad will be poured in the same footprint. The existing loading area is approximately 34,400 square feet in size. The new cement pad will be the same size and dimesions as the existing pad. The loading area is adjacent to a runway on one side and a lawn on the other side. The project will not require any removal of vegetation.
