Document Description
The San Diego Unified School District (District) proposes to conduct a whole site modernization of the existing Hancock ES campus, which is located on federal land leased from the United State Navy (USN). The proposed whole site modernation would include the demolition of fifteen (15) existing portable classrooms, renovation ot three (3) existing loft-style classrooms to include permanent partitions, improved site path of travel, construction of a new on-site student drop off area, and installation of a new artificial turf play field. The proposed project would replace a total of 15 existing portable classrooms with two (2) new 8-classroom bulldings, and thus would not result in a net increase in classroom space greater than 10 new classrooms.
