Document Description
Caltrans is proposing to install centerline rumble strips and restripe the centerline along SR 89 between project mile (PM) 21.75 and 43.34 in Shasta County, install centerline rumble strips and restripe the centerline along SR 89 between PM 0.00 and 34.0 in Siskiyou County, and install centerline and shoulder rumble strips and restripe the centerline and shoulder along SR 97 between PM 5.6 and 54.09 in Siskiyou County. Any equipment staging will be located along the existing paved shoulder and ROW. The project is proposed to reduce both head-on and roadway departure collisions, and anticipates a reduction of up to 50%of roadway departure collisions.
