Document Description
The United States Geological Survey will re-install a stream gauge station in Borrego Palm Canyon. The original stream gauge was destroyed in a flood. In order to install this gauge properly, equipment and instrumentation will need to be bolted down to the local terrain to insure security from potential future flood events. The purpose of this gauge is to monitor the stream for total flow in the basin. Additionally, National Weather Service wants to use this gauge as a flood forecast point for the local area.
