Re-adoption of the Low Carbon Fuel Standard Regulation will reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by lowering the carbon content of transportation fuels used in CA and achieve other benefits that will: diversify the State's fuel portfolio; reduce dependence on petroleum; create a lasting market for clean transportation technology; and stimulate the production and use of alternative, low carbon fuels in CA.
