Document Description
The primary objective of this remediation project is to reduce perchlorate- and energetic-concentrations in the soil and groundwater to below the target levels, as agreed upon by the Regional Water Quality Control Board. Phase 1 of the proposed project would include excavation of approximately 1,400 cubic yards (CY) of impacted soils. As part of Phase 1, an existing dirt road would be widened to allow passage of heavy equipment. It is anticipated that Phase 1 would be completed by Summer 2015. Future phases would excavate up to 2,000 CY of impacted soils per year. The future phases would continue from 2016 through 2020. The project also includes groundwater remediation.
