General Plan Housing Element 5th Cycle Update

The 2014 Housing Element Update has been prepared by the City of Lompoc to comply with the state legal mandate that requires each local government to adequately plan to meet the existing and projected housing needs of all economic segments of the community. The Housing Element is one of the 7 state mandated elements of the local general plan and is required to be updated every 8 years per Section 6588(a) of the California Government Code. The updated Housing Element is a policy document. It implements the different types of single-family, multi-family and mixed use developments that are envisioned by the Land Use Element. As such, the updated Housing Element would not result in any additional physical environmental impacts, beyond those evaluated as part of the review of the Land Use Element.
