Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0019-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of Laguna Beach. The project includes installation of articulated concrete block and rock rip-rap within Laguna Canyon Creek. An existing pedestrian crossing will be replaced. Portions of the stream will be widened, and a stream terrace and bank will be established. Native habitat restoration will occur within portions of the project. The project will impact up to 0.16 (0.09 permanent and 0.07 temporary) acre of stream bed, bank, channel and associated wetland/riparian vegetation. Temporary impacts will be restored, in-kind and on-site. Mitigation for permanent impacts shall be accomplished according to the Habitat Mitigation and Monitoring Plan, dated September 2018.
