Document Description
The project is limited to thirteen geotechnical borings at thirteen locations on/and adjacent to State Route 49 Bridge over the South Fork American River. Borings will be at least 50 to 70 feet deep or at least 20 to 40 feet deep into sound rock and will be located at the river abutments and the active channel as shown in the drilling plan submitted with the Notification. Six locations will be drilled from the bridge deck. The rest of the locations will be accessed through an existing access road located at the northwest quadrant of the bridge. Two locations will require drilling activities within the active channel. Implementation of the prject will not result in vegetation removal.
