Document Description
Minor Amendment 1) The proposed project involves the emergency repair of a damaged water pipeline. The Project as authorized in the ITP will result in permanent impacts to desert tortoise and Mohave ground squirrel habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of desert tortoise and Mohave ground squirrel which are designated threatened species under the CSEA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CSEA that may occur as a result of Project implementation. Minor Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) contains an amendment to a Condition of Approval with the ITP to include an option for the Permittee of either installing Temporary Exclusion Fencing or having the Designated Biologist on-site during all Project related activities. The Amendment will not increase the amount of take of the Covered Species compared to the Project as originally approved, nor will the Amendment increase Project impacts on the Covered Species.
