Document Title
Water Pollution Control Facility Solar Power Project
Document Type

Present Land Use
The location of one of the solar power facilities would be on fallow land that was previously a deposition site for tomato processing waste material and more recently a deposition site for excess soil from regional construction projects, northeast of the treatment facilities, consisting of ~0.2 acres. The project site's current City of Woodland zoning designation is Open Space (O-S) and the current City of Woodland General Plan land use designation is Urban Reserve (UR) and Public Service (PS).
Document Description
The proposed project consists of the installation and operation of solar photovoltaic systems at two locations at and adjacent to the existing Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) property. One of the solar power facilities would be on fallow land northeast of the treatment facilities, consisting of ~7.0 acres, and the other location is at the screw pump south of the treatment facilities. The proposed solar photovoltaic modules are anticipated to be stationary; however, because the solar panel array has not been finalized, the analysis in the IS/MND also incorporates the potential for a rotating design. All solar power generated would be used by the WPCF; therefore, the proposed project may include minor trenching for connections to the existing WPCF.
