The project is a Major Use Permit and Reclamation Plan for a sand mining operation and inert debris landfill. This includes a recycling facility for soil, rock, concrete, and asphalt materials that will be imported to the site, recycled and exported for re-sale. Total extraction anticipated: 1.175 million cubic yards. The site would be reclaimed with 1.278 million cubic yards of imported fill which would be used to raise the site above the 100-foot inundation for an end use as industrial development consistent with zoning and general plan designation.
