Document Description
The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (LACDPW) prepared a Water System Master Plan for the Los Angeles County Waterworks District 29. The WSMP describes the water infrastructure needs of District 29 through the year 2035. The WSMP identifies system facilities needed to overcome existing deficiencies and to meet anticipated system requirements through the target planning year. The Draft EIR provides programmatic-level environmental review for WSMP projects through 2035, and project-level environmental review for construction and operation of the WSMP Phase 1 projects: 6 above ground water reservoirs to be constructed at existing reservoir sites and 26 pipeline segments including an emergency connection pipeline to the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District at Encinal Canyon Road (pipelines totaling approx. 16 miles). the pipeline segments will be constructed underground in existing roadways - four in the Topanga area and the balance in Malibu.
