Document Description
On February 6, 2024, the Board approved various change orders and authorized the execution of two Buildover Agreements, for the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Replacement Project. The approved change orders include the construction of irrigation systems along Medical Foundation Drive, South Drive, and Meyler Street; infrastructure to support additional Laboratory equipment; design and construction of a security booth and security fencing around the Central Plant and Loading Dock; and demolition of existing buildings within the footprints of Inpatient Tower and new regional Laboratory. The Board also approved and delegated the authority to Chief Executive Officer to execute the Buildover Agreements with Los Angeles County Sanitation District and Los Angeles County Flood Control District to allow Public Works to construct portions of the Replacement Program over the permanent easements held by these two Districts. Work is in accordance with the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) Addendum certified by the Board of Supervisors on February 8, 2022 for the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Replacement Project. The original EIR was certified on December 20, 2016.
