Document Description
The project proposes to reconstruct an existing retaining wall in-kind, which is currently failing. The project site is located on the eastern side of the park road across from the restroom facilities at the Tarpits area at Carpinteria State Beach. The wall retains a bank of sandy soil between the park road and railroad. The existing wall is constructed of wood and spans approximately 148 feet long, comprised of two heights, and 85 foot length at 2 feet tall and a 63 foot length at 3 feet tall. The site is vegetated primarily with non-native ice plant and landscaped shrubs.
