Document Description
Project is limited to the repair of the stream banks underneath the Petaluma Blvd North Bridge over the Petaluma River. The project will remove sediment deposits below the bridge on both sides of the stream and then cement grout will be pumped under each abutment and wingwall of the bridge to fill the scour undercuts. The area will then be dewatered using a coffer dam upstream of the project site to allow excavation of a toe trench for the placement of riprap. Approximately 244 cubic yards of 1/4 -ton riprap will be placed along an area approximately 40-foot long from the toe of the stream bank to under the bridge abutments along the southern stream bank. Approximately 371 cubic yards of 1/4 ton riprap will be placed along an area approximately 35-foot long from the toe of the stream bank to the area under the bridge abutments along the northern stream bank. Staging will occur in an upland area outside the riparian corridor. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0247-3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
