The project involves one encroachment; non-commercial gravel extraction of up to 500 cubic-yards from a mid-channel reach of Grist Creek for purposes of reducing the frequency and duration of flooding over an existing levee and into an adjacent pasture. Specific project components include: a) extraction of mid-channel gravel deposits, b) deposit gravel in a field adjacent to an existing levee, and c) extraction limited to mid-channel deposits void of trees or other significant vegetation.
