Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0155-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Truckee Donner Land Trust.
A buried utility line has captured and straightened an unnamed ephemeral stream, leading to incision and disconnection between the channel and the adjacent meadow. To arrest the incision and reconnect the channel to the floodplain, sod blocks will be hand placed in the ephemeral channel to elevate the grade. Building up the grade of the channel bed will arrest incision and promote bank overflow, enhancing the meadow habitat and associated biological function.
