Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2013-0145-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Lake Pillsbury Property Owners Association (LPPOA). Project is limited to the construction of a rock weir which will prevent further downcutting from bridge abutments, while allowing the watercourse to flow within the banks in a similar manner as the unconfined channel. The project will construct a rock weir in Salmon Creek, approximately 80 linear feet downstream from the bridge, as shown on the project plans. The weir will extend across the channel of the watercourse and will be constructed in a trench, 12 feet to 16 feet wide and a minimum of 4 feet deep below the existing thalweg of the channel. Trench excavation will consist of approximately 227 cubic yards of streambed material. Most fo the material will be hauled out and disposed of outside of the flood plain on property plain on property owned by the LPPOA or other approved location where it will not re-enter a watercourse. Some of the clean sand and gravel/cobbles will be used to backfill the voids along the edges of the weir.
