Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0197-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to California Dept. of Parks and Recreation. Project is to install five monitoring wells (3 inch diameter plastic casings with piezometers) in the active stream channel, but outside the wetted channel, to conduct preliminary soil, and depth to bedrock and groundwater investigations for a future riparian restoration activity. The wells will be installed with a tracked-mounted excavator using two existing access points to the stream with one temporarily constructed ramp (12 feet wide by 10 feet long by 5 feet in height) on the western access road to access the stream channel and three of the well sites. At each well site will excavate a 15 feet wide by 15 feet long trench to an approximate depth of 30 feet or less (dependent on depth to groundwater or bedrock) with approx. 250 cubic yards of material removed per well trench.
