Document Description
The County of Ventura has proposed a project to retrofit existing sidewalks, parkways and roadway medians with stormwater filtration systems to treat surface water runoff and improve surface water quality in downstream receiving waters. The project includes removing existing sidewalk, parkway and roadway median hardscapes and developed landscaping, and replacing this infrastructure with modular wetlands and constructed biofiltration systems within the existing developed roadway right of way. There are existing 27 street trees that may be removed as a part of the project, but none of the existing 27 strett trees are native oakes or sycamores, and are therefore not covered under the Coutny of VEntura Tree Protection Ordinance.
