Document Description
This project proposes to install wooden doweled fencing on one side of the trail to protect existing coastal sage scrub habitat. There is currently 40 feet of fencing that is dilapidated and will be replaced. In total 200 feet of new doweled rail fencing will be erected to create a continuous barrier. The wooden doweled fencing consists of 5 inch diameter fence posts with 8 foot rail sections. Each fence pole will be installed by digging a hole using pile-hole diggers to a maximum depth of 24 inches, and will be back filled with the soil removed no concrete will be used. Construction is proposed to begin at the beginning of September, to avoid any impacts to breeding birds.
