Document Description
The project will create a discontinuous 33 acre shaded fuel break along roadsides and at strategic area within the Los Cumbres Homeowners Association with hand crew labor. The community contains 123 homes on approximately 1250 acres off of Skyline Drive. The residences are located on the south and west slopes of Beatty Ridge above the Deer, Bear and Shear Creek drainages. The project will include approximately 50 feet along selected road boundaries that have not yet been treated. These roads include Las Cumbres Road, Old Vineyard Road, Grizzly Rock Road, Shear Creek Road and Favre Ridge Road. Additionally, we will conduct some fuels reduction in strategic areas; around the community water tank, along a portion of the northern boundary of the homeowners association, within islands of vegetation in the community and along a prospective escape route on the Beatty Ridge Truck Trail to improve the egress fro the area in the event of a wildfire.
