Document Description
DFD staff shall excavate and fill an existing cavity observed during the 2013 Dam Safety Review Board (DSRB) Inspection. The cavity is located on the north side of the access road at the toe of the dam. The cavity is currently about one foot in diameter and more than two feet deep, and the extent of excavation is not anticipated to exceed five feet in depth. The total volume of excavated material is anticipated to be less than three cubic yards. Upon completion of the excavation, the cavity shall be backfilled with the excavated soils and compacted with a vibratory plate. Vegetation removal will be primarily done with hand tools and/or weed eaters. Removed vegetation will be processed onsite and left as mulch in the same area or removed by truck.
