Document Description
The project is limited to removal of the existing Chase Street bridge and replacement with a new 30-foot-long and 40-foot-wide single-span cast in place concrete bridge. The new bridge will have a permanent impact to riparian habitat of approximately 1,200 square feet. The new bridge will include construction of new bridge footings with wingwalls, creating a permanent impact to riparian habitat of approximately 60 linear feet on both sides of the creek and 480 square feet. New riprap will be included, creating permanent impacts to riparian habitat of approximately 35 linear feet and 350 square feet. The project will also include construction of two concrete retaining walls, creating permanent impacts to riparian habitat of approximately 58 linear feet and 480 square feet. Work will require dewatering of the stream within the work area, leading to a temporary impact of approximately 80 linear feet and 1,800 square feet of open channel habitat. The project will also require removal of five native trees and three nonnative trees. All staging and access for this project will occur within existing roads.
