Caltrans proposes to construct a single-span bridge (72 feet 10 inches-wide x 76 feet-long) that will replace the existing Napa River Bridge #21-0018 (72 feet 10 inches-wide x 62 feet-long), and will span approximately 76 ft across the Napa River. The existing bridge was built in 1919. It is a 2-span bridge with clear span lengths of 28.3 feet and total bridge length of approximately 61.8 ft. The bridge consists of reinforced concrete T-beams supported on Unreinforced Masonry (URM) abutment walls and a reinforced concrete pier on a spread footing.
