The proposed project would exchange fee title property and easements of equal value between Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (MROSD) and Ridge Vineyards in the Monte Bello Ridge area of western Santa Clara County. The proposed exchange of fee and easement property rights is intended to: - Protect scenic views as seen from the surrounding public and open space lands including Monte Bello and Saratoga Gap Open Space Preserves and Upper Stevens Creek County Park and the Waterwheel Creek Trail; - Resolve long-standing Winery facility encroachments; - Prohibit the residential development of up to four large houses on Ridge Vineyards land; - Protect existing wildlife corridors; and - Support sustainable agricultural uses that are compatible with both wildlife and visitor use of the Monte Bello Ridge Preserve.
