Document Description
The Project would modify existing flood management and water conservation facilities along the Santa Anita Canyon Watershed, including the Santa Anita Dam, the Santa Anita Headworks, the Wilderness Park Culvert Crossing, and the Santa Anita Debris Dam. The project improvements would reduce flood risk to downstream communities by modifying the Santa Anita Dam spillway to safely pass floodwaters; remediating seismic safety issues at the Santa Anita Dam and Debris Dam; restoring storage capacity at the Debris Dam; rehabilitating the Headworks for stormwater diversions to spreading grounds; installing monitoring/control systems; and improving all-weather crossing to the Wilderness Park.
