Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board is funding the Project referred to internally as Santa Anita Debris Dam Seismic Strengthening Project. The Project involves upgrades at the Santa Anita Debris Dam to establish 119 acre-feet of new stormwater storage capacity. The Project includes the following activities: (1) buttress the existing spillway walls and the westerly embankment, (2) vertically raise the spillway walls by 12 inches, (3) construct parapet walls 12 inches in height on the upstream side of the crest of the dam, (4) replace the existing outlet tower and catwalk, (5) modify existing inlet/outlet works, (6) construct and replace access roads, (7) install additional monitoring equipment, and (8) replace riprap on the upstream and downstream faces.
