Document Description
The 2016 Earvin "Magic" Johnson (EMJ) Recreation Area Master Plan included expansion and rehabilitation of the EMJ Recreation Area and construction of new recreational facilities. An EIR was prepared and approved or the 2016 Master Plan. The County has revised the Master Plan, which involves changes to certain facilities that were included in the 2016 Master Plan, including the following: construction of stormwater treatment/recycled water system and pump station at the South Lake; development of a new cultural complex at the former Ujima Village site rather than the previously proposed South Agency Headquarters; replacing surface parking with two parking garages; reconfiguration of athletic facilities near the primary access driveway; and relocation of facilities at the County maintenance yard. Development on the Project site would continue to be phased over time, as previously assumed in the 2016 Master Plan. An Addendum to the EIR has been prepared.
