Document Description
The proposed project involves the restoration of an unnamed tributary to Moro Cojo Slough (Unnamed Tributary) traversing a portion of the Project, including implementation of permanent erosion control measures, removal of excessive accumulated sediments, and replanting of native vegetation (Restoration Activities) to comply with a Stipulated Final Judgment for unpermitted activities that occurred at the Ranch in 2011 in violation of Fish and Game Code Section 1600 et seq. The Project also involves a number of additional activities to smaller streams that are tributaries to the Unnamed Tributary and strategically placed detention basins and catchments to control erosion and capture and retain sediment and storm water to prevent on and off-site flooding (Stormwater Management Activities) and on-going, long-term maintenance of the streams within the Project and emergency action activities (Maintenance & Emergency Activities). The project will temporarily remove 1.1 acres of California tiger salamander habitat and is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander, which is designated as a threatened species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
