Document Description
Make modifications to the California Institute for Men (CIM) Water Treatment Plant to comply with the inland Empire Utility District Waste Discharge Permit. Work will excacate and pour concrete for two 14,000 gallon water tank pads and install tanks; excavate to install supports/bracing for the new filter vessel and install vessel; install 200 feet of new piping, prots and by-passes; install instruments to monitor the water treatment processes; and install electrical and control wiring to support new equipment.

The project consists of maintenance, modifications and minor additions to an existing State-owned facility involving negligible expansion of its existing sue. There will be no effect on resources covered under CEQA. These are classes of project the Secretary of Resources has found do not have a significant effect on the environment and therefore are declared to be categorically exempt from the requirements to prepare an environmental document.
