Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (Board) is a responsible agency for this project. The Board's Public Water System Drought Emergency Funding Program is providing state funds for the project. The City of Hanford proposes to connect Hamblin Mutual Water Company to the City of Hanford with a temporary connection by a 350-foot fire hose. This connection will address the immediate water outage faced by Hamblin Mutual Water Company. Kings County OES will also provide bottled water to the residents until the temporary connection is made permanent by replacing it with PVC pipe and when bacterial sampling shows that the water supply is bacteriologically safe to consume. A master meter will be installed on the temporary connection to ensure the water used by Hamblin residents is split equally.
