Document Description
The project is to bypass the Yucca Cottage cesspit, connect the Yucca Cottage septic system to the museum cesspit approximately 48 feet to the south, and fill in the Yucca Cottage cesspit so it is no longer a hazard to people using the driveway. Park staff will fill in the historic cesspit with sand and gravel, so it won't collaspe, and it is safe to drive over. A septic contractor will dig down to the lid of the Yucca Cottage cesspit, a depth of less than 1 foot. If there is an existing pipe from the Yucca Cottage to teh museum cesspit, the septic contractor will run a camera down the existing pipe to inspect the condition.
