Document Description
Relocation of a 1,000 gallon above-ground storage tank (AST) from 100 16th Street, San Diego to 1601 Newton Avenue (the "Facility") in San Diego. The Facility currently operates as a vehicle fleet parking, maintenance, repair and painting facility. The AST will be located on a concrete slab of 8 feet by 10 feet in size. The AST will be filled with approximately 1,800 gallons of fuel per week. The AST will be equipped with gasoline vapor controls to significantly reduce emissions of volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants. Only vehicles equipped with State-certified On-Road Vapor Recovery (ORVR) systems will be fueled from the AST. The AST will only fuel gasoline-powered MTS vehicles which are currently parked and maintained at the Facility, but which are currently refueled elsewhere. Busses will not be fueled at the facility.
