Document Description
This project will excavate an 8' wide, 14' long, and 27' deep bell hole (trench) to expose and inspect a gas pipeline in a flood terrace of the Pajaro River, within PG&E's easement in an area maintained by the City of Watsonville. Excavation will be entirely within the flood bench, with a minimum of 6' of clearance between the bank and the hole. Engineered shoring will be used for stabilization during the inspection of the gas line. Approximately 3,000 cubic feet of material will be temporarily displaced. Access to the work site location will be from a gravel road that is at the outer edge of the river bed, with no vegetation removal or new construction required.
