Document Description
Project consists of the construction of a 1,75000 gallon above-ground water storage tank and associated facilities. This project also includes the purchase of approximately 0.8 acres of land from the Courtland Fire Protection District, where the proposed facilities will be built. A 5,000 gallon surge tank and an onsite well and treatment plant, containing a filter vessel, backwash tank, and sludge slump, will be constructed on the project site. A pump and control building will be constructed to house booster pumps, chemical storage, motor control electrical cabinets, and SCADA cabinets which ware necessary to have a functional water storage facility. A SCADA antenna and an emergency generator for back-up power will be placed on site as well. To connect this new facility to the existing public water system, off-site water lines will be constructed from the proposed storage facility to the existing public water system, off-site water lines will be constructed from the proposed storage facility west via alignments along both Hood-Franklin Road and Corky Lane within the County Right-of-Way. In addition, four new fire hydrants will be installed at different points near the project area.
