MWA and Santa Barbara County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (Santa Barbara), both State Water Project (SWP) Contractors, propose a 2.25:1 unbalanced exchange to meet dry-year water needs. DWR will deliver up to 500 acre-feet of MWA's approved SWP supplies to Santa Barbara's turnout in Reach 33A of the CA Aqueduct by Dec. 31, 2014. DWR will deliver up to 1,125 acre-feet of Santa Barbara's future approved SWP supplies to MWA's turnout Reach 22B of the CA Aqueduct by Dec. 31, 2024. This involves no increase in total SWP allocations.
