MWA and Santa Barbara County Flood Control and Water District (Santa Barbara), both the SWP Contractors, propose a 1:1 balanced exchange to meet dry-year water needs. Dept. of Water Resources will deliver up to 500-acre feet of MWA's approved SWP supplies to Santa Barbara's turnout in Reach 33A of the CA Aqueduct by December 31, 2014. DWR will deliver up to 500 acre-feet of Santa Barbara's future approved SWP supplies to MWA's turnout in Reach 22B of the CA Aqueduct by Dec. 31, 2019. This involves no increase in total SWP allocations.
