Document Description
The proposed project is limited to the installation of a pre-cast concrete box to span the entire channel area of the unnamed tributary mentioned. No live woody vegetation shall be removed from the project area. The channel bed shall be lowered about 1-foot to accommodate the box culvert and allow for unimpeded flows. The culvert shall be dropped into place using a crane staged in the upland area. The area between the box culvert and channel sides shall be filled and compacted using the native excavated material. An excavator or backhoe shall be used to prepare channel bottom, a plate compactor or thumper to compact channel bottom, and crane to lower box culvert in place.
