The Department concurs with the lead agency's determination that the project is exempt from CEQA. DWR finds that this repair of an existing levee is exempt (Class 1 Categorical Exemption, 15301 Existing Facilities) because the project: 1) does not expand existing use of the structure for floor protection; 2) does not risk a responsible possibility of significant or considerable cumulative environmental impacts.
