Document Description
The project for the purpose of this agreement consists of removal of one culvert and one 1-lane bridge across Bonta Creek on the 116-acre Feather River Inn property. The structures are impeding creek flow and contributing to local flooding. Removal shall occur in the dry season. A 36-inch by 20-feet long steel culvert, and associated encasement rock and compacted fine sediment shall be removed, a 15-foot long free-spanning bridge composed of wooden joists anchored in the mortared rock anchor wall shall be removed. A separate mortared rock wall on the west bank of the stream up- and downstream of the bridge and a concrete weir below the bridge shall be left in place. The abutments to be removed are about 15 feet and 20 feet long, and two feet wide by four feet deep. A total of about 1000 cubic feet of material shall be removed. Both areas shall be reshaped to match the existing up-and downstream bed and bank. Either coffer dams will be erected to divert water around the immediate project area or straw wattles will be placed downstream to catch sediment. After restoration, logs shall be installed to prevent vehicles from crossing the stream.
