Document Description
This project proposes to reduce hazardous fuels along a 4.5 mile (approximately 55 acres) section of Ponderosa Way in eastern Tehama County. Vegetation within 100' of either side of the road will be cut and chipped and/or piled for burning. Piles generated for burning will be located within the road right of way and road shoulders, Burning will take place on approved days as determined by the local air district. If topography or resource protection issues prevent the completion of 100' on one side of the road, an attempt will be made to expand the treatment areas on the other side of the road in order to obtain and average of 200' along the roadway.
